According to the alert, the products were distributed to both wholesale and retail locations nationwide, though it does not specify which retailers sold the products. The recalled items have an establishment number of "EST. 5385."

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said it was notified by the Office of Inspector General, which received a complaint via its hotline.

"FSIS investigated the complaint and determined that the products contained source materials that were not declared on the label," the alert states.

No adverse reactions to the products have so far been reported, but officials urged anyone with health concerns to reach out to their provider.

"Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," the alert states. "Restaurants and institutions are urged not to serve these products. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase."

It's not the first time the company has issued a bologna recall due to "misbranding."

In 2016, nearly 4,000 pounds of chicken and pork bologna products were recalled due to "misbranding, undeclared allergens, and being formulated with meat and poultry products that were not federally inspected."
